How to
Prepare Pachhi chinthakaya pappu charu (Raw Tamarind Soup/sambar)
Ingrediants:
Toor Dal - 1 Cup
Raw tamarind fruits
7 to 8
chopped carrots – 2
chopped Coriander
leaves - 1 T spoon
Chopped Onions - 1/2
Cup
Chopped Green
Chillies – 10
Chopped Fenugreek
Leaves - 1 T spoon
Curry Leave bunches –
5
bay leafs – 3
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon - 1 small
piece
Oil - 3 Spoons
Mustard - 1 T Spoon
cumin - 1 T spoon
Red Chilli Powder -
1 T Spoon
Salt to taste ( 1
Spoon)
Turmeric Powder -
1/2 T Spoon


Method:- Wash the toor dall with fresh water and Place a cooker on the flame and  Add Toor Dal Add sufficient water ( for 1 cup
toor dal pour 3 cups of water) for boil the toor dall, close the lid and cook
for until 3  whistles It takes 15 to 20
minutes after boiled turn off the flame and  stir well & Keep aside.   Place
another bowl on the flame & Add raw tamarind fruits,  pour 1 cup of water close the lid and boil for
5 minutes,  strain the water into a bowl
with using a strainer,  now add cold
water and squeeze tamarind juice and  strain
again pour juice one bowl to and another bowl, remove white foam with hand repeat
same process for 3 to 4 times and keep a side. 
 Place a Big Bowl on the flame Add
Oil and heat and Add Mustard & Cumin seeds, Bay Leaves, Chopped Green Chillies
& Onions and Add Carrots and stir well, and add now chopped garlic - 4
pieces, Fenugreek leaves and Turmeric Powder Stir well.  Add boiled toor dal , Red Chilli Powder and Salt
to taste Stir well and cook for 2 minutes. Now Add Tamarind juice and Add
sufficient water as per your taste and mix well, now Add Curry leaves  and Coriander leaves and boil for 5 to 10
minutes in high flame until well boiling. 
Now turn off the flame and pour in to a serving bowl....... Fresh raw
