How to
Make Suran/Yam Fry:
Ingrediants:
Chopped Suran/Elephant
Yam – ½ Kg
Fresh Coconut Pieces
– ¼ Cup
Oil – 3 Spoons
Chopped Green
Chillies – 4 to 5
Chopped Onion – 1
Fenugreek Leaves – 1
Spoon
Ginger garlic paste
– 1 T Spoon
Turmeric Powder – ½
T Spoon
Red Chilli Powder –
2 Spoons
Salt to Taste (1
Spoon)
Pinch of Garam
Masala
Chopped Coriander
Leaves – ¼ Cup


Method:-
Peal the Yam Chop the Suran/Yam to
small pieces, Keep aside, add Fresh Coconut Pieces in to a mix jar, Grind well,
keep aside, Place a pan on the flame and add oil, when the oil heated add
chopped green chillies & Onions, stir well and fry well, now add fenugreek
leaves & ginger garlic paste and stir well, add turmeric Powder and mix
well and add Suran/Yam Pieces and stir well, close the lid and cook for 5
minutes in medium flame, fry well and now add coconut powder and mix well,
close the lid and cook for 2 minutes in low flame and fry well, keep stirring
now add red chilli powder and salt to taste and mix well, add pinch of garam
masala and mix well, close the lid and fry for 1 minute in low flame till  the pieces are crispy and brown the edges ,
finally now add coriander leaves and mix well, take out into serving bowl ,
Taste Suran/Elephant Yam Fry is Ready, serve with rice, roti/Chapati or
